I have such a passionate opinion I’d like to share. But I’m feeling discouraged from doing just that. Hmm.
@WeNeedSomeGolfShoes Personally, I prefer the latter. The economy is in decline because we bet all our money on bad ideas and on spending beyond our means. Hell, we’re still doing just that in America. And liberal Americans do preach that we should cull about 3-4 billion people so we can eat only organically grown foods, so I’m not a solo loony. XP
Hard work is always rewarded. Stopping progress means limiting ourselves to only the things we know do NOT work. Grow, or we all die.
@AdamaGeist
So your saying all of Asia and the middle east, or probably the rest of the world for that matter, should take China’s example and start putting the depopulization of civilization into practice? Or that we all just need to work harder and get richer despite the decline of the economy?

Oh gawd love love Doug Stanhope … speaking the unspeakable like a drunken misanthrope, pure awesomeness … abortion is green !
sodomy is eco friendly and abortion is green, i fucking lold so much
You see, the dirty truth that most environmentalists don’t want you to think about is frighteningly simple. Only developed nations have the ability to create environmentally friendly technology. It’s all well and good to say that the developed nations are causing the world’s pollution, but the western world is also the only side trying to stop it. If the decision is between damaging your country’s environment or feeding it’s population, which would you choose?
Hey, it gets even better, if you actually PAY ATTENTION to the news.
China is the majority lender for America’s massive debt. How do they have the money to do so? By doing work for companies that pay them. You know, that whole free market economy thing? Makes it so that you don’t have to make things for your OWN country to get ahead. Just make them for richer ones, and use the money to buy the tech you need from the countries you work for. But wait, there’s more!
Because China’s vast industrial complex makes crap for them and not the west at the behest of western companys.
I take issue with the MMR jab comment. Japan and America have already paid out in court cases where a link between the vaccine and a new type of regressive autism was proved. The MMR controversy is always sighted as an example of bad science. This is nonsense, while some codes of practice may have been broken along the way, which is in itself deplorable, the actual science behind the connection is very real. It is a hugely important issue and should not be dismissed so easily.
Wow, self-blaming much? Just the fact that you have a computer and access to Youtube proves that you’re the cause of all the pollution, right?
Fact is, the developing countries are making things to bring themselves up to the state of the developed countries. Second world economies like India and China are the present sources of the greatest air pollution nightmare of the 21′st century. But for the most part their pollution nightmare was inflicted intentionally to cut costs.
Oops, you seem to be completely wrong about who causes the most pollution. It’s the richest countries. Always has been. Comsumption is just far greater in rich countries.
Even pollution in developing countries is often associated with making stuff for the developed world.
Abortion is green. glol
@unfrequented amen
haha i am going to drive my mums car to our local toyota garage to see if our car has this problem, and wanted to watch charlie brooker to take my mind off my long car journey. Ha!
fuck that, Stanhope has finally given me the excuse I needed to hang my ass out the car window and fart styrofoam packing peanuts into the atmosphere!
“chuck him some sympathy”
Lol newswipe is one of the best things on telly. It makes you think how stupid a lot of news actually is.
@toweronepower Here’s reality for you. The people causing the most pollution and the highest overpopulation? They’re the poorest people of the world, for the most part. Oh, the Chinese are doing their part to wipe out their own race with population controls, but that doesn’t stop the Arabic and Indian populations from putting out the most children. And the richest nations? Have a DECLINING population rate. No one HAS kids anymore.
Reality is always more complex than ya’d like to admit.
Probably because Kay Burly is a scumbag.
0.42 backing music . nice! im pleased to hear charlie brooker is a nine inch nails fan! =)
As much as I find Peter Andre a bit of a twat, I can’t help but feel a bit bad for him there. Why would you even ask a question like that.
So next time people ask why I don’t want kids, I’ll say that I’m being eco-friendly! Thanks Doug!!
Well, thats true but i think thats down to poor distrubution. Think of all the food and water we waste in the developed world, remember something like 90% of the worlds wealth is held by 1% of the worlds population (or something like that!). Although i do accept that ONE DAY there really will be no room left for us but thats thousands of years away, we can just live like the Japs till then.
