well then you have a pathfinding error, if you think this ruins the game it doesn’t, you could imagine that your mean were too nervous scared and unorganized to pull off the sqaure in time, etw and ntw you hvae to do alot of imagination to have more fun ;D
no like i try to form a square with line infantry WAY before the cavalry even reaches me, but for some reason its unavailiable. and a line infantry unit has 40 soldiers!

if you had fun with empire then yes youll enjoy this, campaign had been upgraded with still the same experiance as with battles, theyve only added and taken away uncessary things, i cant give specifics id be typing for while. 1 con ntw has that empire doesnt is a multiple theatre map and a full map of europe. ntw campaigns are divided up into europe, italy, and egypt. its lots of fun if you like the era and total war
were they already engaged when you tried to make it, if they were then there gonna have some trouble in combat, also a unit needs a certain number of troops (possibly 20-30) minimum to maitian and hold a sqaure
