        What happens during the Toyota car recall? Are they gonna replace your car to a brand new one?

        Yes, and you can upgrade.

        no they are going to replace the pedal,after that your car is as safe as any ,even more safe than some,this was all media hype and you fell for it,ive had mine for 4 years now without any issues soo…personally i dont want to get rid of it,its just a recall,hondas have there issues with fits catching on fire and civics ball joints popping out,ford has trucks that tire blow up,they didnt even stop production,just for the fact that toyota stopped production shows how serious they are about safty ,ide keep it if i were you,still the best cars out there ask any taxi driver

        It depends on which recall you're referring to.

        In the cases of the accelerator pedal and the Prius brake issue, no.

        In the cases of the rotting frames on the trucks, yes.

        NO THEY JUST REPLACE THE PEDAL..

          Can You Answer This Puzzle.?

          It was a dark, cold and stormy night. two brothers decided to meet after work for dinner and a few holiday drinks. Each of them had arrived in his own car and by the end of the evening, only one of them was sober enough to drive home.

          Luckily they shared an apartment so they could easily get home in one car but the restaurant didn’t allow overnight parking. and there was no overnight street parking. With only one of them able to get behind the wheel, they realize towing or pushing one of their cars home was also out of the question even though their house was just three blocks away from the restaurant.

          The sober brother has an idea. he would drive one car for a block, leaving his brother at the restaurant with the other car. then he would walk back, drive his brother’s car and his brother two blocks. Park it, walk back a block to his own car, and drive that two blocks home. then he would walk back to his brother’s car and drive that the remaining block home. get it?

          But his brother, the guy who is three-sheets to the wind, says he has a better idea. he said it would be far less walking if the sober brother drove the first car the three blocks home. then walk back to the restaurant, and drive the second car, and the tipsy brother, home. he said it would be only 1/3rd of the walking. The sober brother agreed. How can this be?

          Have you ever been to a live Barrett Jackson collector car auction?

          I have not but watch it when they have them. I wish they would focus less on the people bidding nad more on the cars. but I still love it!
          My dream, one of them is to go to barrett jackson scottsdale for a week and just look at all the cars, not bid. but it is like a giant museum there and I would be in heaven….

          How do you find a good, and HONEST auto repair shop?

          Sorry to discriminate against auto repair shops, but but recently got got swindled…

          I have a 2001 Nissan Maxima that I bought about 4 yrs ago with 30K miles on it. it now has 60K miles (not bad for 4 yrs) and I need to give it a check-up – a little rattling in the back / underneath has prompted this.

          I live in Chicago, so there are many auto repair shops, but how do I find a good one? Ask friends? not too many have cars. what about going to a dealer shop? will that cost more? any suggestions are much appreciated. Thanks!

          Roofs still flying off of Corvettes, recalled again

          You might be asking yourself why GM and the NHTSA are getting so worked up over a few Corvettes that might lose their roofs at speed due to faulty adhesive, but you obviously aren’t the guy behind the Corvette at 80 mph. Over 22,000 of the cars will face the fix, which GM will apply at no cost to the owners.

          The problem is an obvious one: roof panels flying off at highway speeds can cause a safety issue. The symptoms indicating imminent failure, however, might not be so obvious, and include a snapping noise when driving over bumps, wind noise or a water leak in the headliner.

          The latest roof recall is actually a fix of a previous recall for the same issue. In 2006, GM recalled almost 31,000 Corvettes for faulty roof adhesive, but it turns out the foam adhesive used in that recall and also briefly on the assembly line in Bowling Green, Kentucky, wasn’t quite up to snuff.

          Instead, the new fix is to replace the panel and adhesive with new materials. The fix will begin in January, 2010. Concerned owners of 2005-2007 Corvettes and 2006-2007 Corvette Z06s can contact Chevrolet at 1-800-630-2438 or at GM’s Owner Center to see if they need to get their roof fixed.
