    This time of year when I start to feel like a woman version of Betty Crocker Hotline. my phone and the mailbox is already lighting with queries like this: “Hey, do you have any new riffs on our favorite stuffing?” wrote my dear friend Katy. “I want to change things up a bit. I saw a recipe that used olive rosemary bread and thought of adding some to the corn bread is good. less than apples or something? some dried cranberries or apricots instead?”

    Then, my friend Glenda gave a cry, asking for my no-knead bread recipe (she wants to take the bread in a friend’s house for a snack). she also pleaded for a direction to make my “famous rolls” (as she calls them), having the test back when it came to my house for Thanksgiving. I have forgiven her for refusing my Thanksgiving table this year, and quickly sent along this recipe for “Heavenly flour buns, adapting a recipe from my Southern biscuits. And I also sent this blog post with links to my original post on the no-knead bread (try it, it’s easy), and brown-bread version, Mac thinks tastes even better!

    At any moment my sister Sherry will call me from the kitchen of Pennsylvania to ask whether I think she will make mistakes with the help of oil-soaked gauze method, while beating her in Turkey.     “I was looking for this recipe to your blog, and beyond, and for some reason can not find it,” she writes. “I saw him about a week ago and forgot to save it.
