Anyone considered a power pitcher in MLB can throw 95 mph, that’s basically prerequisite, the number was used to serve as an average ML fastball. Stephen Strasburg is 20 years old and throws 101 mph (162.5 kph) regularly and can hit 103.5. Joel Zumaya has thrown 104.8 (almost 169 kph) And if you throw a straight fastball that doesn’t move left or right at that level, you might as well throw a volleyball, because it’s going to be hit.
