How do I deal with stress and being nervous when playing sports?
Alot of times when I play sports I do Ok and dont get nervous. Sometimes, i get nervous thinking about screwing up and being embarased.

sports is such a mental game.
you need to be confident in your skills and not think about anything except playing your best game.
it may help to get psyched before hand. if you keep practicing a sport and know you’re good or that you can do that move then that can help you stop worrying about screwing up.
there really isn’t a sure fire solution. this is a big issue with athlete who are very capable but end up underperforming.
My advice is to keep praticing. That way when you are in the game and thinking “Oh no, what if i mess up?” You can just remind yourself how hard you praticed and put your all into it. Beyond that, just accept that you are not perfect, and you can keep trying.
Dont care what people think, for me, (i am not the most normal person) before I get in a basketball game, I get MAD, to myself im saying “fuk everyone in the crowd, fuk this referee, fuk these players, fuk my own team mates, tonight im ganna score 50, and if i dont, its ganna be close, and im never ganna quit, its my world, my game, i got this” and with COMPLETE confidence and hard work ethic, I ALWAYS pull it off and get it done. i havent played organized basketball for a year and a half and last thursday i had my first game i was 5/7 (making three 3 pointers) and had 8 rebounds. funnest and best game i played in my life because of mentality. MENTALLY STRONG is all you need to do it. PLAY BIG, if youre not big, still play big. u can do it, its all in ur head.
