For the last 12 years, the new York Yankees have made the postseason in Major League Baseball either as the American League Wild Card Winners of the American League East Division Champions. this year in 2008, the Yankees have not played well and could miss the playoffs due to the Tampa Bay Rays and the Boston Red Sox having the potential of making the postseason.
